Deejay Afrowhitie has been Deejaying for many years now. His first set was actually a joke as part of a live electronic duo called the Galactic Gigolos. Deejaying quickly became less of a joke and more of a passion as AfroWhitie began to do it more and more. |

He took a gamble and chose CD's over vinyl all those years ago but now sees himself advantaged as more and more dj's cross the digital divide. A major influence on Afrowhitie's music tastes and abilities came from the now legendary 206 Live. It was there that he felt and heard his first gut wrenching basslines and mind bending beats. Worthy sensei's like Pierre Armageddon, Missile Myles and The Blunted Stuntman became (and still are) his inspiration musically and technically. |

It was in New York that AfroWhitie honed his sound as a radio presenter and electronic music director at WARY-FM. In NY he also took on the name AfroWhitie - "The White Boy From Africa".

2005 has been a bumper year for breaks with AfroWhitie spreading the gospel through top notch events like the Carfax Street Party which drew around 4000 people and more underground events like SENSE, PRESSURE, OFFLINE and KISS EVENTS. Afrowhitie has also played alongside internationals like Dieselboy, Cargo 77, Tom Novy and Freq Nasty. Afrowhitie has also been featured on UBONA on Channel O. |

His recent mix on national SA radio through 5FM’s Vinyl Frontier was a perfect vehicle for his quest to pull people from their comfort zones and massage them with bass wrapped around chunky, bumpy beats! |
